Overview

Exciting developments have unfolded at Curtin University Library as we collaborated with Lendlease, serving as consultants for service penetrations. Our focus extended to installing Intumescent Paint and CAFCO 300 for steel protection that aligns with the highest standards in the industry.

Background

Unveiling Hidden Pathways

The project intricately navigated the complex process of amalgamating an existing structure with a new build, marking a distinctive challenge that required a nuanced and comprehensive approach. Beginning with a thorough audit of the existing penetrations within the structure, ensuring they met the latest requirements. Simultaneously, our focus extended to ensuring that newly introduced penetrations adhered to the latest code requirements, aligning seamlessly with regulatory standards.

As contracted experts trusted by Lendlease, our responsibility extended beyond the conventional, as we grappled with the intricate task of integrating multiple passive fire systems. This multifaceted approach included the strategic implementation of fire-resistant board, intumescent paint, and Cafco, each chosen for its specific role in enhancing the overall fire protection measures within the merged building.
